Springfield Shanty Crawl
The Shanty Choir is hosting a costumed Bar Crawl for our October event! Dress up in a jolly nautical costume and join us as we travel through downtown, singing shanties and drinking beers!
We'll begin our crawl at 417 Taphouse, travel through downtown, sing in the square, and end our night at Mother's, stopping at a few establishments along the way.
A route of our crawl will be released on our Facebook event page closer to the event. Just a reminder, some of these establishments will be ages 21 and up. Families are welcome to meet us at Mother's after the crawl is complete!

"Louder for Clowder" Fundraiser
A little info on our first event in Columbia, MO!
Come one and come all! Join us for the first Annual Louder for Clowder Fundraiser! A clowder is a group of cats. Barnie’s Place (a non-profit organization in Columbia, MO) will showcase local bands this year including The Lemon Settlement, The Hardesty's, and Catdaddy's Funky Fuzz-Bunker Band. The Shanty Choir will share some songs! There will also be Sid's Snacks, Mia's Taco Truck, FluffyButt Cookies, 4-H bake sale items, a bounce house for the kids and Show-Me Dinosaurs. It is sure to be a treat for the whole family!
Hallsville Fairgrounds, June 23rd, 6-10 pm.

October Shanty Crawl

4:30pm - Gather/eat @ 417 Taphouse
5:30pm - Sing @ 417 Taphouse
6:00pm - Walk to Dublin's
6:15pm - Sing at Dublin's
7:00pm - Walk to Square
7:15pm - Sing and Take Picture
7:30pm - Walk to Finnegan's
7:35pm - Sing at Finnegan's
8:15pm - Walk to Mother's
8:30pm - Sing at Mothers
9:00pm - Depart, walk back to 417 Taphouse (on your own).
As always, we will teach you traditional shanties by rote (no music)! The "crawl" portion of this event will be ages 21 and up. All ages are welcome to meet us at the end of the crawl at Mother's, which welcomes all ages.

Get together for our monthly shanty night! This will serve as a special event since it will be tied to the Missouri Choral Directors' Association Conference. Your Shantymen, Zac and Shawn, will be leading a session on sea shanties at the conference and will be inviting choral directors to join our event.
